Akashi Seijuro x Reader
Her silent footsteps padded down the long hallway, admiring the paintings that lined the walls. Upon reaching the room she was looking for, she took a deep breath to calm her pounding heart and knocked on the door.
No answer came.
Tugging down on the hem of the oversized shirt she was wearing, she turned the handle, cringing when the wooden door creaked loudly as she pushed it open to reveal a large room. Like the rest of the mansion, the room was filled with expensive looking furniture, everything having its exact place, aside from a stray basketball that lay on the floor.
She stepped inside and closed the door quietly behind her. “Sei?”
A short groan made her turned towards the sofa, where saw her boyfriend lying there with his arm draped over his eyes. Letting out a sigh, Akashi pushed himself up, looking at her with a sleepy gaze before a small grin appeared on his features.
“You should wear my shirts more often.” He motioned for her over to the couch. “[Name], come here.”
Sitting down beside him, she stiffened when he rested his head on her shoulder.
“Stay still for a while,” he told her; voice soft yet commanding.
“But… I wanted to ask you something!”
“You can ask me later.”
Left with no room for objection, [Name] decided to drop it. After all, it wasn’t any urgent matter. She shifted slightly so that he would be more comfortable, listening to the low sound of his breathing. The quietude of the room was only interrupted when Akashi moved, laying his head on her lap.
Startled by his sudden actions, [Name] spluttered out, “W-what are you doing?”
“I’m tired,” he mumbled, opening his eyes to reveal his unique heterochromatic orbs of gold and ruby. “Surely you’re not going to deny me of rest, right?”
“Of course not,”
“Good.” Lifting a hand, Akashi caught a strand of her [h/c] hair that framed her face as she peered down at him, tucking it behind her ear with an affectionate look on his visage before closing his eyes; lips still curved upwards.
The blush that rose to her face was left unseen to his closed lids and she looked away from him, slightly embarrassed by the way she was reacting to every little thing he did.
There were often times when she felt self-conscious, especially when she was with Akashi. He was the epitome of perfection, and there were many people who looked at her in disdain, with the opinion that she wasn’t worthy of him.
But each time she felt that way, he was there to assure her that no one else mattered. Words were not needed to convey his feelings towards her. Just one look was enough to see how much he liked her, and the way he would squeeze her hand firmly was his own way of saying he loved her.
Hesitantly, she sifted her fingers through his soft red hair. Akashi stirred in his sleep, making the girl freeze and her heart stop. He then leaned into her touch, unconsciously encouraging her to continue with her ministrations, which she happily obliged. He had never revealed this side of himself before, and knowing that he trusted her made a feeling of warmth appear in her chest.
A peaceful look filled his countenance, that tiny smile still on hanging on his lips even as he slumbered away. Gently pushing his crimson locks out of his forehead; she let her fingertips ghost over his handsome face.
“I love you, Sei.”
The words left her lips before she could even comprehend what she had just whispered. And when she glanced down nervously at him, she let out a small sigh to see that his eyes were still shut.
Closing her eyes, she soon fell asleep as well, not knowing that Akashi had been awake all along, just enjoying her presence in these quiet moments.
“I know, and I love you too.”
