Levi x Reader
His eyes started to droop as sleep started to tug at his consciousness, and he was more than willing to give in to the calm darkness that sleep promised. But the sudden movements in his arms yanked him away from the borders of dreamland and back to reality.
"...What are you doing?"
His voice was gruff as he glared half-heartedly at the girl who peered up at him with tired eyes.
"I'm just trying to get comfortable," she mumbled, nuzzling closer to him, letting their legs tangle beneath the sheets. Sighing softly, Levi closed his eyes and shifted his body to accomodate her.
The ethereal shine of the moon lit the room with a soft glow. She could feel the beating of his heart from where her hand lay over his chest, and it calmed her. More than he would ever know.
Afraid to interrupt the quietude of the room, she let out the softest of whispers, "Levi?"
For a moment, she thought that he might have fallen asleep, until his voice cut through the silence. "What?"
Hesitating a bit, she mumbled, "I can't sleep."
"Try." His response was short and curt. Just like how he always was. And she expected nothing more from him.
But she never gave up. "Talk to me?"
Seconds passed, and she could see him clench his jaw as he contemplated over her words before he finally spoke.
"It's late... just go to sleep."
She tried, but sleep just wouldn't come. Her mind was whirling, and there was so many things she wanted to tell him.
"Levi..." Her voice holding a serious undertone, she decided that he needed to know. Just one last time, before daybreak came.
"I love you."
He stiffened at her words, before he wrapped his arms tighter around her, holding her close to his chest. He didn't have to say it, for his actions always spoke louder than his words.
And she knew it well enough in her heart.
He loved her too.

Large round (color) eyes stared up into despairing grey eyes.
"Da...Da-da?"
Levi shut his eyes, his throat suddenly much tighter. He exhaled softly, trying to calm himself, but as soon as he swallowed the lump nearly suffocating him, he choked out a sob.
"Dada...Mama?"
Glistening grey eyes opened once more as he studied the confused face on his tiny offspring. A small hand curled around his index finger and a barely toothy laugh bubbled from his child.
"Dada! Mama!"
And the tears steamed freely.

What might being a shattered plate feel like? The mystifying question popped in your mind not too long ago, and in some sense you couldn't place your finger on why your mind had queried an odd analogy. But until now, realization struck you and demolished your prudence. Porcelain pieces scattered across the ground, chipped and injurious. How may that feel like? To be furiously propelled to the ground, or perhaps accidentally tipped over the edge from the counter. Yet, who may have pushed the precious, china over?
The answer was simple, though this woven yarn would not release the answer just as quickly as expected.
